Introduction:
Climate resilient agriculture refers to farming practices designed to adapt to climate change, mitigate it’s effects, and ensure food security. It focuses on increasing the resilience of agricultural system to climate variability and extreme weather events.

Components:
1. Diversified cropping systems:
Growing a variety of crops to spread risk and diseases , and weather extreme.
2. Soil health management:
Practices such as cover cropping, reduce tillage , and organic amendments to enhance soil fertility, structure and water holding capacity.

3. Water management:
Efficient irrigation technique, rainwater harvesting , and water conservation practices to ensure adequate water supply during dry periods.

3. Agroforestry:
Integrating trees and shrubs into agricultural landscape to provide shade, reduce erosion enhance biodiversity.

4. Climate smart livestock management:
Adjusting livestock practices to improve feed efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and enhance animal health and productivity.

5. Genetic improvement:
Developing and adopting crop and livestock varieties that are more tolerant to climate .
