Primarily look after the National Cell Repository-National Centre for Cell Science for Expansion, Cryopreservation, and Distribution of cell lines across India. Further undertakes projects of national importance like establishment of cell-based in vitro research models, Vaccine Testing Facility, Biobanking, etc.
