My research in OSCC delves into the intricate transcriptomic diversity of oral cancer at the single-cell level, aiming to unveil intra-tumour heterogeneity. In maternal and child health, I focus on unravelling the genomic and epigenomic factors and unique placental cell types contributing to preterm birth. In our efforts to define the healthy state, I seek to identify cell-type and cell state specific eQTLs in peripheral blood, shedding light on diversity of gene regulation across individual cell types and states of the immune system. Further, I am involved in the genomic surveillance of SARs-CoV-2 and capacity building.
