Dr Anshuman Dixit is working as a Scientist-F at the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, India. He obtained PhD degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi while working at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, India. He went to the University of Kansas, Lawrence for postdoctoral research where he was working on understanding the structure function relationships in protein kinases and development of bioinformatics tools for NGS data analysis. Currently his lab is working on diverse areas of computational biology spanning from identification of biomarkers, molecular simulations, drug design, and network biology.
Current Focus Areas
Identification of predictive and therapeutic biomarkers and development of targeted therapies against oral submucous fibrosis and oral cancer.
Analysis of previlaged scaffolds and their utilization in targeted drug discovery.
We are currently working to develop tools for the prediction of drug synergy. We are using a fusion of network biology based approaches combined with other experimental data utilizing a unique machine learning approach.
Impact of small alterations e.g. point mutations and indels on protein structure, function, and stability.
Development of database on head and neck cancer.
