Profile
My present research interest is focused on anti-microbial resistance (AMR) by developing innovative diagnostics and alternative therapeutics for bacterial infections. Focusing majorly on hospital acquired infections and critical and high priority pathogens, we decode the microbe's response to xenobiotics, strategies for survival, and based on this knowledge, develop alternative to antibiotics. We also engage in exploring comprehensive mechanisms of disease progression at the convergence of chronic infection, senescence and cancer.

• Molecular mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance, mechanisms of microbial dormancy and biofilms as host immune response evasion strategy
• Designing alternative modules (prophylactic and therapeutic) for antimicrobial resistance
• Exploring mechanisms of disease progression at the convergence of chronic infection, senescence and metastasis.
