I am a group leader at ICGEB, New Delhi with more than decade of experience and expertise in human immunity. During my tenure, I successfully created and sustained long-term collaborations with clinicians and basic researchers in India and also worked closely with the Emory faculty to develop the capacity, knowledge, and technical know-how to pose fundamental questions about the nature, scope, and mechanisms by which immune profiles affect human disease outcome. I also established many crucial techniques and assays in the lab that allowed analysis of human T and B cell responses including the human monoclonal antibody platform. These efforts have resulted identification and characterizations of many human monoclonal antibodies to Dengue virus, Chikungunya virus and SARS-CoV-2. of a broadly neutralizing SARS-CoV-2 antibody that is further being explored for pre-clinical development. As a full-time faculty member of ICGEB, I also instruct and mentor graduate and master's students who are vital to efforts to enhance human immunology capacity.
