Profile
Dr. Sudhanshu Vrati, a Professor, earned his PhD in Biochemistry from The Australian National University, Canberra. He holds a DIIT in Biochemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and an MSc in Microbiology from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Dr. Vrati conducted post-doctoral research at CSIRO Molecular Sciences, Sydney, and served as a Visiting Scientist at the Pasteur Institute, Paris.
Current Focus Areas
Our lab researches RNA virus replication, particularly Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), aiming for vaccine development. We investigate JEV replication, host protein roles, and potential antiviral molecules. Additionally, we study Chikungunya virus biology for antiviral development, and work on an oral rotavirus vaccine and adenoviral vectors for vaccine delivery.
