Profile

I am trained in cancer biology and have over 17 years of experience.  We are currently interested in understanding the cross talk between host immune system and disease especially in the contest tof gastrointestinal cancers and lupus

Current Focus Areas

  • The main focus of the laboratory is understanding the role of inflammation in physiology (innate immune response) and pathophysiology (cancer). We are particularly interested in the roles of Sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) in inflammation and carcinogenesis. We employ different pre-clinical , ex vivo and in vitro models in our study.
