Expertise in the area of natural products, synthesis of heterocyclic/carbohydrate derivatives, and valorisation of biomass for value-added products. To his credit, he has many patents, and research papers published in various SCI journals. He has successfully licensed many technologies to industries. He is the inventor of the commercially available product ‘natural saffron colour’ extracted from flower petals of Butea monosperma (Family-Fabaceae). He received ‘Industrial Medal Award’ for the year 2022 by Biotech Research Society, India; ‘Young Scientist Award’ by Council of Science and Technology (CST), Uttar Pradesh; ‘Young Scientist Award’ under Fast Track Scheme by Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi; best paper award at 7’th International Forum on Industrial Bioprocesses held at Jiangnan University, China. He worked as ‘Visiting Professor’ at Polytech Clermont-Ferrand, France. He has membership of many societies, e.g., Association of Carbohydrate Chemist & Technologist, India (ACCTI), Biotech Research Society, India (BRSI), etc.
